RedEarth Australian Shepherds is located in southern Alabama, thus the name “red earth.” If you been through the rich farm land of Alabama and Georgia will have certainly seen that red earth. It is very much a part of where we live and where we grew up.
RedEarth Australian Shepherd is home to both ASCA/AKC registered and titled Australian Shepherds. Our dogs compete primarily in conformation, however we believe in a well rounded dog. All our dogs have been through basic obedience with emphasis on competition. Our dogs have also been tried on stock a number of times to access their working ability and instinct level. We believe in breeding to maintain the ASCA breed standard and to produce healthy companions as well as competitors. Our dogs are family members first.
All breeding stock is DNA'd as well as CERF clear, OFA'd, and MDR1 status known. We believe in preserving a healthy Australian Shepherd.
We are active members in ASCA. We participate in both Conformation and Junior Showmanship. We work on a volunteer basis for several local clubs.
We are active members in AKC. Again we participate in both Conformation and Junior Showmanship. We are members of Southeastern Alabama Kennel Club. We are serving as Trophy Chair for the 2011 show season.
